Property Description

Around 107 years old, this two bedroom semi-detached bungalow sits in a part of Invergordon that was originally built for the Admiralty. It would suit someone looking for a cosy home close to the town centre, with plenty of character already there and room to put their own stamp on it.

From the outside, it’s a traditional looking bungalow with white walls, a slate roof and dark framed windows. The front is mainly block paved, providing space for private parking, with pots and plants adding a bit of colour.

A small vestibule takes you into the lounge, where deep green walls immediately give the room plenty of character. The fireplace remains the natural focal point, with a white painted brick surround, timber mantel and dark tiled hearth. An arched opening leads through to the inner hall, while a separate doorway takes you directly into the kitchen.

The kitchen gives the next owner plenty of scope to make the space their own. Red cabinet fronts run around two sides beneath pale wood effect worktops, with black square tiles behind creating a bold contrast. A stainless steel sink and drainer sit beneath the rear window, while a built in oven and induction hob are already in place. A rear door opens straight out to the garden, so the outside space is easy to reach from the kitchen.

Beyond the lounge, the inner hall separates the bedrooms and shower room from the main living space. The larger bedroom has green painted walls above timber panelling that wraps around the lower half of the room, with a soft grey carpet underfoot. A white electric radiator sits beneath the window to keep the room warm. The storage situation has been cleverly dealt with here, with one entire wall fitted with open timber wardrobe storage, including hanging rails and shelving.

The second bedroom has a completely different feel, with lilac walls on three sides and a deep purple feature wall giving the room a much bolder look. Natural timber skirtings run around the room with grey carpet underfoot, while a white electric radiator is fitted beside the door.

The shower room has a wet room style layout, with beige wetwall panels running around three sides. The electric shower is fitted with several grab rails around it, while the window sits between the shower and basin. On the opposite wall, white painted timber panelling provides a different finish with a matching white ladder style towel radiator fitted to it.
The rear garden is mostly paved with gravelled sections around the edges and plants and shrubs growing along the boundaries. Three timber sheds are already installed, giving you plenty of storage, with the newest one also benefiting from an electrical supply. A decked walkway runs along the side of the house, connecting the garden back to the front.

19 Murray Road has a bit of history, plus plenty of character and individuality inside that give it a feel of its own. Three sheds add useful storage outside, while Invergordon town centre is only a short distance away. Contact Hamish Homes today to arrange your private viewing.
